Mobile Home Park Worker Charged With Sexually Abusing Child

Largo's Daniel William Helms, 59, a resident and employee of the Buckeye Mobile Home Park on Donegan Road, is awaiting trial, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A Largo mobile home park worker has been charged with sexual battery on a child younger than 12, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Daniel William Helms, 59, a resident and employee of the Buckeye Mobile Home Park on Donegan Road, was arrested Monday.

According to an arrest affidavit, Helms confessed to having sexual intercourse with the victim, the Times reports.

According to the newspaper:

The sex acts took place "in multiple locations throughout Pinellas County," but the victim did not initially report them "due to threats made by the defendant," the arrest affidavit states.

Helms was being held in Pinellas County Jail without bond and is awaiting trial.
