Man Planned to Kill Next Person to Knock on His Door, Police Say

A Largo man was arrested after pacing around an apartment complex with a loaded shotgun and handgun saying he would kill the next person he saw, police say.

A Largo man was arrested after pacing around an apartment complex with a loaded shotgun and handgun saying he would kill the next person he saw, according to Largo Police.

Donald P. Moors, 35, of Largo, was walking around his unit at the Brittany Bay apartments carrying a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and 9mm handgun around 10:23 p.m. Sept. 13, according to investigators.

Moors was going to “shoot the next n****r” that he saw and then said he would shoot the next person who knocked on his door, according to arrest records.

Moors was under the influence of alcohol and crack cocaine, according to police.

Police searched his home for other weapons.

Officer John Rice opened a drawer near two other weapons and discovered two glass crack pipes, brillo and two plastic bags that contained cocaine residue, according to arrest records.

Moors was arrested and charged with obstructing or resisting an officer without violence, possession of paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, open carrying of weapons and violation or probation.

He was released on $4,050 bond.
