Largo Woman Attacks Cop, First Responders: Police

Alicia Marie DaSilva was arrested and charged with three felonies following the July 21 incident in St. Pete Beach.

A Largo woman was arrested and charged with three felonies after striking a Pinellas County Sheriff deputy and two Sunstar Ambulance employees on July 21 in St. Pete Beach.

According to authorities, the medical officials were giving assistance to 20-year-old Alicia Marie DaSilva near the Postcard Inn at 6300 Gulf Blvd. when she punched one responder in the left arm and upper chest area and kicked the other in his right upper arm.

When a deputy on the scene intervened, DaSilva kicked the officer in the upper right leg while he was attempting to place the woman in custody.

Officers indicated DaSilva appeared to be under the influence of alcohol in their report.

DaSilva was arrested and charged with two counts of battery on medical personnel and one count of battery on a law enforcement officer, all felonies.

Pinellas County Jail records show DaSilva was released on her own recognizance on July 22nd.
