Largo Puppeteer Waives Bail Hearing

The man accused last month of conspiring to kidnap a child waived a bail hearing Wednesday, according to The Tampa Bay Times.

Ronald William Brown, 57, will stay in jail without bail as he waits trial on federal charges of conspiring to kidnap a child and possessing child pornography, The Tampa Bay Times reports.

Brown provided puppet and marionette shows to local children around the Tampa Bay area for many years through his Puppets Plus business.

He was arrested on July 20 as a part of a federal investigation. Brown allegedly chatted online last year with someone about kidnapping and eating children, giving details on how he would abduct and cook them, WTSP 10 News reports.

Brown maintains his in the charges. No trial date has been set yet for Brown, the Times reports.
