Largo Puppeteer Gets 20 Years in Child Porn Case

Charges of conspiring to kidnap young children in order to torture and eat them were previously dropped against Ronald William Brown of Largo.

Ronald William Brown, the former Largo puppeteer who talked online about wanting to kidnap children in order to kill and eat them, was sentenced Monday to 20 years in federal prison on federal child pornography charges, TBO.com reports.

Federal Judge James D. Whittemore went above sentencing guidelines to give Brown the 20-year sentence, followed by a lifetime of probation. And according to TBO.com:

Brown also will have to register as a sexual offender, is prohibited from having contact with minors and banned from having access to a computer with online service.

A Largo man who had been accused of conspiring to kidnap young children in order to torture and eat them is to be sentenced in court Monday, July 29.

The most serious charges were later dropped against Ronald William Brown, 58, who pleaded guilty to charges of possessing and receiving child pornography.

Brown could be sentenced to more than 20 years in prison when he appears in federal court in Tampa on Monday, Bay News 9 reports.
