Largo Police Arrest Suspect After Chase

Authorities say a stolen vehicle rolled and hit a Clearwater Police cruiser while the suspect was being removed from the car.

A transient, who police say led them on a chase in a stolen vehicle, was arrested on charges of fleeing/eluding officers and driving without a valid license late Saturday night.

A spokesperson for Clearwater Police says around 11:20 p.m. Saturday night, officers received a BOLO from Largo Police about a suspect involved in an armed home invasion robbery and carjacking in Largo.

A short time later, Clearwater Police officers spotted the stolen vehicle in the area of Belcher Rd. and Logan St. Authorities say the driver, Aaron Joseph Wilson, 18, took off when he saw police. Officers then pursued the vehicle.
