Largo Man Jumped From Belleair Bridge During Traffic Stop

Robert Tebow jumped from the Belleair Bridge during a traffic stop Tuesday, officials said.

A Largo man who jumped from the Belleair Bridge during a traffic stop Tuesday was arrested, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies.

Members of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Task Force located Robert Tebow, 34, in South Pasadena Wednesday night.

Tebow, 34, stopped his SUV, got out and jumped over the bridge's railing during a traffic stop around 9:30 p.m., according to investigators.

He was initially pulled over for speeding in a 2005 Dodge Durango, officials said.

Tebow was arrested and charged with driving while license is permanently revoked, failure to appear for boating under the influence, fleeing and eluding an officer, as a fugitive from Douglas County, GA for manufacturing and selling methamphetamines and obstruction. 

He is in jail awaiting trial.
