Largo Has New Half-Million-Dollar Firetruck

Largo has a shiny new fire engine for more than $500,000.

The 2013 Pierce Ultimate Configuration firetruck – dubbed E41 – has its home at Station 41.

The Largo Leader reports that the firefighting vehicle has the latest technology and is being outfitted before going into service.  The engine replaces an outdated firetruck.

Here's how the cost breaks down:

  • Vehicle: $559,563;
  • Additional equipment: $72,875.
