A customer received several minor cuts and lacerations after coming to the aid of a Sportscasters Bar & Grill employee who was trying to collect a bar tab from two other patrons early Monday morning, according to a police report.
When Victor Lee Brown and William Cullen Thomas left after allegedly not paying their $32 bar tab, an employee followed them into the parking lot, Largo Police said. A customer got into a verbal argument with Brown, who then got a knife and screwdriver out of his vehicle, according to an arrest affidavit.
Then Brown became "the agressor toward (the customer) causing several minor cuts and lacerations. (The customer) retreated into the bar," according to the affidavit.
Brown and Thomas then tried to go back into the bar and reportedly shattered the front glass door. The incident was caught on video surveillance, according to the report.
