Attempted Murder Suspect Says Victim Was The Devil

Alan Louis Ruppe told Largo Police that the victim was evil and possibly the devil. He was charged with attempted murder.

Alan Louis Ruppe, 51, was charged with attempted murder for cutting his victim's throat with a pocket knife. According to the arrest report, Ruppe told officers that the victim was evil and possibly the devil.  

According to the report, Ruppe told police that the victim continued to anger him, so he tried to kill him by cutting his throat with a pocket knife. 

The victim was seated in a living room when Ruppe approached him.  Ruppe walked up to the victim with an open blade and made a light cut under the victim's chin from one side to the other, according to the report.

Ruppe told police, post miranda rights, that he wanted to cut off the victim's head. 

The victim needed stitches for the sustained injuries. Officers found the knife in side Ruppe's room, on top of a vanity table.

Officers arrested Ruppe on Friday, Feb. 25 at 12:29 p.m. He is currently being held at the county jail with a $100,000 bond.
