Five Things to Know Today: Friday, Feb. 3

Heart of Pinellas, Sea Monsters, Teen Idol and more.

1. What to wear?  Expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 80. Tonight it will be mostly cloudy with a low near 63, according to the National Weather Service.

2. HeART of Pinellas. in art in Largo during this two-month series of events at the . Now is the time, if you want to enter a piece of artwork or share your performing arts skills.

3. Sea Monsters.  " Venom! Ultra Vision! Jaws! Glow-in-the-Dark!" There are just a few days left to explore the fascinating world of sea animals at the George McGough Nature Park. Now through February 6, learn  about these mysterious creatures at the Sea Monsters Traveling Exhibit. The interactive exhibit is free to visitors. 4. Teen Idol 2012. Auditions for Largo's next teen idol are Feb. 15 and 16 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the . All teens ages 13-18 are eligible to participate in this vocal performance competition. For more information, contact Andre at (727)518-3125 or email anjones@largo.com. The actual show and competition is March 21 from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Largo Cultural Center.
