Here are Patch's picks on the five best restaurants to take mom: Balla's Steakhouse, Cottage Café and Tea Room, Largo Café, The Pie Factory and Bonefish Grill.
Balla's Steakhouse opens early for Mother's Day at 11 a.m. They're offering their regular steak, seafood and pasta menus: ribeye steak, filet mignon, steak and shrimp, Ahi Tuna Sashimi Steak, Mahi Macademia, Balla's Vegetarian Pasta, Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Pasta.

Cottage Café is treating mom to decadent meals for all day long. Breakfast and lunch specials include: Mother's Best Breakfast Bake, Cottage Benedict, Quiche Largo, Queen for a Day Cafe Tea Plate or Deb's Curry Salad. Dinner includes Filet with choice of side, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmesan or Shrimp Scampi over pasta. Breakfast and lunch meals are $10.95 to $15.
Cottage Café is located at 607 1st Avenue S.W., Largo, Florida 33770. They're open on Mother's Day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For reservations, call (727) 581-3663.
The French cafe is open for Mother's Day from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Moms will receive a special treat: a rose and champagne. Specials include: Petit Cassoulet a Duck Confit, Boeuf Bourguignon or Coq au Vin. Cost is $18.95.

For those with an appetite, try The Pie Factory's scrumptious All You Eat Buffet: bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, danish, scones, fruit salad, quiche, juice and coffee. Cost is $8.99. All moms will receive a free, surprise gift.
