5 Things to Do This Weekend, Oct. 12-14: Buddy Walk, Keiko Matsui

1. Music in the Park.  Bring your own blanket or chair. Refreshments are available for purchase. Tonight's band in the 16th Annual Music in the Park is China Grove.

  • When: Friday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Rd., Seminole

2. Tampa Bay Buddy Walk. The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) established the walk to promote acceptance, awareness and inclusion of people with Down Syndrome. 

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 13. Registration begins at 9 a.m., walk starts at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive, Largo

3. Largo Elks Yard Sale. Looking for toys, household goods, collectibles, jewelry, Christmas items? The yard sale will be held rain or shine.

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • Where: Elks Lodge, 810 16th Ave SE, Largo

4. Keiko Matsui. After selling out her show last year, Matsui returns to the Largo stage to share her powerful and introspective blend of Western and Eastern jazz.

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.
  • Where: Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive, Largo
  • Cost: $45.50 in advance and $50.50 at the door

5. Octoberfest Show. Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of Octoberfest music at the Largo Community Center. The Sunday matinee includes a Bavarian-style band.

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.
  • Where: Largo Community Center, 400 Alternate Keene Road
  • Cost: $13 advance, $15 at door (dinner tickets for Sunday matinees must be purchased by the Wednesday before the show).
