ALERT MEETING DATES CHANGED. NOW NOV. 14, 2013 at 9:00 am and DEC. 10, 2013 at 6:00 pm WE NEED YOU THERE!

WE NEED YOU. URGENT SAVE THE TIDES ACTION NEEDED!
There are 2 crucial meetings with the County Commissioners where we need 100s of people to attend. These meetings will decide whether our beloved Tides Golf Club and Boca Ciega Bay sanctuary for beauty and wildlife will remain or be sold to develop a subdivision that will have 3 storey townhomes and houses.
LPC MEETING IS NOW NOVEMBER 14, 2013. 9:00 am at Pinellas County Court Building 315 Court Street Clearwater Florida. (Meeting held in Commissioners Public Meeting Chambers 5TH Floor - NO ROOM NUMBER. Room is straight walk forward after you exit the elevator on the 5TH Floor). It previously was scheduled for Sept. 12, 2013 (cancel this date). This is an urgent meeting with the Planners. IF we get the Planners to disapprove Taylor Morrison's request for rezoning at THIS meeting ... it will require a big majority of Commissioners to overrule it by a 5 to 7 vote. This would almost assure us victory !!!! Please read this post and join us on the buses.
Carpooling is suggested as this is down town Clearwater and parking is limited. You will need to find a parking meter. Arrive early.
We have another option that might be easier and more fun. We are renting buses (each holds 43 people) to take us back and forth. The cost for the actual ride is $10 a person. This money is NOT for a fundraiser. We will meet at the Seminole Mall (corner of Park Blvd. and 113th St. in Seminole) and we can park our cars there (the north section of the parking lot on 113th St. in front of where the K-Mart used to be). We need to know ASAP who is going so we can schedule the buses. We hope that you will bring MANY friends and family.
The SECOND meeting for the hearing before the BCC is now DECEMBER 10, 2013 and is being held at the same location at 6:00 pm. It was previously scheduled for Oct. 22. 2013 (cancel this date). We are also renting buses for that meeting. PLEASE ATTEND. The Commissioners will make their decision at that meeting. VERY IMPORTANT
We need to fill the room at both meetings with a sea of people in GREEN shirts to show our opposition to rezoning the Tides !!! 
If you would like to join us on the buses, please contact us ASAP at email address ronvstephens@gmail.com and sign up for one or both of the meetings. If you are already signed up for the bus ride, we will add you to the lists on the revised dates (unless you inform otherwise). For NEW riders, let us know:
1. Name (contact name is enough … you don’t have to list all riders)
2. How many seats you want (how many people going).
3. Whether you are reserving for the November and/or the December meetings.
4. Your email address and phone number.
The buses must be filled or we cannot reserve them. Once you write and reserve your seats, we will contact you and tell you how you can pay.
