HAIR the Musical

Eight O'Clock Theatre Presents

HAIR the Musical

Book & Lyrics by James Rado & Gerome Ragni

Music by Galt MacDermot

July 11-20, 2014

HAIR – the Broadway musical live on stage, is at once both a joyous celebration of youth and a poignant journey through a tumultuous 1960s America! This exuberant musical about a group of teenagers searching for truth, peace and love in a Vietnam War era America has struck a resonant chord with audiences of all ages. HAIR features a long list of chart topping hit songs, including Aquarius, Let the Sun Shine In, Good Morning, Starshine and Easy To Be Hard. The themes and struggles in HAIR, although from another era, seem vital and relevant to the times we live in today in more ways than you realize until you experience the show first hand. Hailed as “Intense, unadulterated joy” (The New York Times), “Transcendent” (USA Today) and “A celebration of life and freedom!” (Daily News), HAIR tells the story of a group of friends choosing to speak up and sing out in a celebration of love, life and freedom.
2009 Tony & Drama Desk Awards for Best Revival of a Musical Time Magazine wrote, "Today Hair seems, if anything, more daring than ever."

Its relevance is UNDENIABLE. Its energy is UNBRIDLED. Its truth is UNWAVERING. It's HAIR, and IT'S TIME.

This performance contains strong language, adult content and nudity and is recommended for mature audiences.
