Gyotaku Class

The Florida Gulf Coast Center for Fishing Foundation, Inc., is hosting a Gyotaku Fish Rubbing Art Class on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at its Marine Institute from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Space is limited to 25 registrants.


Gyotaku is a well recognized form of fine art. It is a traditional form of Japanese fish printing or rubbing, originally used by Japanese fishermen in the early 1800’s to accurately record their catches.
