What Happened When a Chicken Laid an Egg at a Largo School?

A unique family is part of the hands-on lessons at the Largo Country Day School's Little Barn, which is home to more than 20 animals.

It took a "village" to help a chick hatch recently at the Country Day School in Largo.

The Vonn Road school hosts The Little Barn, an outdoor classroom with more than 20 animals, on its 9-acre campus. According to a post on the school's Facebook page, one of the chickens recently laid an egg, and another hen then decided to take over sitting on the nest.

Then, just for good measure, "Mama Turkey" decided to help out by taking turns sitting on the egg, too.

The baby chick is doing fine. It visited the school's primary classes recently, and Country Day's Facebook page has photos of the happy chicken/turkey family.

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
