Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall to Pass Through Largo

The scale model of the Washington, DC, monument is traveling around Pinellas County via motorcade Thursday on its way to two Clearwater events.

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is coming to Pinellas County.

The Tampa Bay Veterans Alliance is bringing the 6-foot-tall scale model of the Washington, DC, monument through Largo and several other cities on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The memorial will travel by motorcade with an escort from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, more than 100 veteran bikers and several military bikers, organizers said. The motorcade will pass nine local elementary schools, along with other government buildings, businesses and neighborhoods.

It's expected to be making its way through Largo between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Thursday on its way to its final stop in Clearwater, where it will be on display in Coachman Park beginning at noon Friday. A Veterans Appreciation Day event is also planned for noon Saturday at Clearwater High School.

View the announcement posted on Clearwater Patch for details about the viewing and ceremony, and see the map attached to this story for a detailed route of the motorcade through Pinellas County.

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
