Meet Knox the Hound Dog

Knox, a one-year-old stray, was found as a stray and turned in to Animal Services.

Knox is a year-and-a-half old tri-color hound waiting to be adopted from Pinellas County Animal Services. He's built as strong as the fort he shares a name with. He weights 65 pounds. He was turned in to Animal Services by someone who had found him as a stray.

The person who found him wanted to make sure that Knox goes to a good home.

You can help make that happen by spreading the word or adopting him yourself.

Pets and the Holidays

Just a quick word of caution as the holidays approach. With many family feasts planned for the season there's a tendency for increased reported bites. Your pets can be highly stressed with new people around for the holidays. And pets can become stressed.  Misunderstandings can also happen if food is dropped to the floor and unfamiliar people attempt to pick up the tasty treat. To help keep bites at bay, consider keeping your pets away from the holiday table, give your pet his or her own special treat and allow time to exercise and play with your pet to burn off some of that energy.
