Five Things To Know Today: Oct. 5

In today's five things: learn how to research directories in a genealogy class, early release day movie, dance at the Community Center tonight and more.

  1. The  Genealogy Department is offering Cities Directories class from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Local History Room. 
  2. For schools' early release day the library is playing "Mars Needs Moms" film from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Children's Program Room. Watch the trailer. 
  3. The Historic Preservation Advisory Committee will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in City Hall's Community Room. This is a public meeting. For more information contact Tom Moore at (727) 587-6749. 
  4. While you browse theisles, let your kids play the Nintendo Wii, board games and participate in a contests in the library's Fun and Games event from 1:30-4:30 p.m. 
  5. Tonight's dance night at the . Head on over to dance to the best music from the 50s, 60s and more with DJ Richards from 7-10 p.m.  Admission is $7.
