Largo Touch a Truck Combines Art and Nonviolence

Touch a Truck at largo park Feb 9 and Nonviolence art event. Primary Prevention Committee, of which I'm a part of, will be there!

The annual Largo Touch a Truck event is going on Saturday, Feb. 9, and the Prevention Commitee will be spreading the word for nonviolence and peace through ART!

At the great Touch a Truck event there will be games, food, people, and of course...The TRUCKS. This is the big draw. Come let your kids, tweens, and teens climb in, push buttons, and play with firetrucks, cement mixers, ambulances, semis, and so much more. If the adults want to jump in these awesome trucks, they are more than welcome to.

Clowns, clowns, clowns....clowns galore. We have a very active clown troop in the great city of Largo, and Touch a Truck is also the celbration of CLOWNS!

In the midst of all of these festivities, the Primary Prevention Commitee—a subcommitee of the Domestic Violence task force will be at a table asking kids to come do some art.

The PPC is a group of people who want to spread the words of prevention, the words of peace and nonviolence, and all of the ways we can end all violence in general—especially domestic violence.

I am proudly part of both of these commitees. Color, draw, play with color, and create what peace and nonviolence and great healthy relationships would look like to you.

This isn't only a kid event...No siree. This is an event for all ages. There will be bookmarks, pencils, and the awesome art created by YOU!

Not only all of that, when you're done with the art...you can either take it with you or be an inspiration to the rest of the passerbys and the future passerbys at future events. That's right...you and your art become examples of change.

What a great oportunity and event. See you there.
