Greater Largo Library Foundation7th Annual Art Hop and Taste Fest

The Greater Largo Library Foundation is announcing it 7th Annual Art Hop and Taste Fest. The event will be held on March 8 2014 at the Largo Public Library. This year’s event will showcase Art from the private collection of local artist Dennis McBride featuring artistic drawing of historal home and buildings in Pinellas county. Our featured artist is Jace McTeir from Augusta, GA. He is a talented young artist well none in the sports arena and has a colorful modern flare to his work. Our Rising Star Artist is local Largo High School teacher Lisa Bagley. Lisa has taught and guided hundreds of student to appreciate art and develop their talent. Lisa will feature her clay sculptures and painting. You will be inspired by these three artists.Our featured entertainment will be the Tampa Female Jazz Singer Lisa Casalino. She has been entertaining people throughout the Tampa Bay area for over 15 years. From private parties, weddings and events to restaurants and clubs to professional sports and musical theater, Lisa’s voice, style and charm and her singing of the standards and Jazz is what brings people coming back to see her time and again.The event will also feature fine art of all different mediums from local artists, great food samples from local restaurants, a great silent auction with many wonderful baskets, tickets to special events, golf packages,We are currently hosting an Art Hop Youth Art Exhibit by Largo High School, Middle School and Elementary School Students.Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Largo Public Library and participants may “hop” to several local shops between 6 and 8 p.m. via free shuttle buses. Each business will feature an artist and offer refreshments. We will be featuring the following businesses on the tour: McGill Plumbing, Largo Feed and Garden Supply Store, Pinecrest Retirement Community, and Side Door Antiques.This year’s youth entertainment at the Library will be a Vocal Ensamble from Largo Middle School sponsored by Yankee Traveler.The events primary Sponsors are Bright House Networks, Raymond James, C1 Bank and The Palms of Largo.Individual tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. If you purchase a VIP ticket ($100 individual; $150 couple), your name will be included in the program and an invitation to our Thank You Dinner in April.
