Strip Center to Replace Twedt’s Bowling Alley

The Largo landmark closed Labor Day. The property is expected to be redeveloped as a strip center featuring at least two restaurants.

Labor Day was last call for Twedt’s Bowling Center and its Cue Ball Lounge.

The Largo landmark, opened for 46 years, closed to make way for a four or five unit strip center, said Teresa Brydon, the city's manager of economic development.

A developer purchased the bowling alley property with plans to bring at least two restaurants and a nutritional store there, Brydon said.
