Expanded Gunslingers Opens in New Location

The new Gunslingers offers a variety of dining and entertainment options.

The spacious, new Gunslingers accommodates up to 1,200 people across its five business areas.

The former Gunslingers on East Bay was only a bar but the new location offers a patio for happy hour and lunch, a full-service restaurant, catering and banquets, a nightclub and a planned concierge service called "Gunslinger Nation," according to a spokesman for Gunslingers.

The old Tucson's building on Icot Boulevard was "heavily" renovated for one year with Gunslingers opening at its new location in November. The club side of the business plans to host a grand opening Jan. 26.

The goal of the new Gunslingers is to become a destination where patrons can stay for the entire evening and have a variety of dining and entertainment options, according to its corporate spokesman.

The lunch time and happy hour business provides patio and restaurant space for business lunches, business networking and after-work relaxation. There are free networking events the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6 until 8 p.m. Plus, there are daily happy hour specials from 3 until 7 p.m.

Gunslingers has a full-service restaurant with gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. The goal is to "try to do modest food, very well," a Gunslinger spokesman said.

Menu items include: beef brisket, shrimp and grits, portabello burger, green pork chili, chopped chicken salad, baby back ribs, shrimp boil, fish tacos and more. And "The Gunslinger," is a 100-ounce-smoked-and-grilled New York strip steak, which takes 45 minutes to prepare.

The club area is open currently Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m. The club has three bars, a patio pub, late night dining and dancing.

Gunslingers has a small private dining room, which patrons can rent. The venue also offers catering and banquet options.

The "Gunslinger Nation" hopes to have its own website where patrons can share videos from planned monthly events. Some activities the planned concierge service hopes to host include mudding and a river float day, according to a Gunslinger spokesman.

Gunslingers has special events such as the monthly car and truck show, which is held the first Sunday of the month from noon until 5 p.m. The event includes an all-you-can-eat pig roast for $10.
