Cosmo's Cafe Brings Down to Earth Dishes to Largo

Looking for delicious home-cooked dishes at reasonable prices? Check out this new restaurant.

For four years, Carlos Davila helped Robbie Smith run a restaurant. Davila's hard work was returned with help from Smith to start his own restaurant. Cosmo's Cafe opened in Largo in September, Davila said.

"(Robbie Smith) was very thankful I helped out," Davila said. "I just want to let people know I'm one of the thousands of people who wants to be successful. I think I am going the right way, with the right people around me."

Davila enjoys the people side of the restaurant business. Davila owns the new cafe with Smith, Davila said.

"I like talking with people and socializing with my customers. I am very family-oriented," Davila said.

Davila is popular with his customers, who chime in about the great food and customer service, suggesting to a Patch reporter to try the clam chowder and chicken special of the day.

The restaurant, in a shopping plaza just south of Ulmerton Road, serves breakfast all day. Other options include: daily specials, soups, subs, wraps, club sandwiches, quesadillas, burgers, and salads. Everything is homemade, Davila said.
