Paddle Boards and Sandals are Popular Holiday Gifts at the Island Shop

During the last 12 days before Christmas, Largo Patch will share gift ideas from local businesses each day to help wrap up your holiday shopping.

Enjoy the surf and sand at nearby Indian Rocks Beach?

The Island Shop sells a great selection of paddle boards, skim boards, skate boards, sandals, hats, sunglasses, swim suits and pretty much anything one needs for a relaxing or active day at the beach.

During December people often buy stand-up paddle boards as a family Christmas gift, said Island Shop owner, Larry Garrison.

Other popular holiday gifts are skateboards, sandals, and gift cards for paddle board rentals or lessons, Garrison said.

I read in the paper that our governor turned down federal funds for mosquito eradication. DoesRead More anyone know if our mosquito control units are underfunded from this terrible decision by Governor Dumb-a-ss?

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
