Local Artwork Lights Up Largo's 6th Annual Festival of Arts

The 6th Annual Festival of Arts featured art and floral art by local artists. The two-day event was held Feb. 25 - 26, 2011 at the new Largo Community Center.

Largo's Art and Floral show featured a variety of artwork by local artists. The gallery displayed works in mixed media, pen and ink, watercolors, acrylics, oils, floral arrangements and Ikebana. The show awarded prizes in four categories: art, floral art, art-inspired floral combinations and Ikebana.

Artists Muriel Scrivner and Patrick J. Gaughan joined artistic forces in a live art demonstration. Their paired work, Gaughan's floral painting and Scrivner's floral art arrangement, were auctioned to benefit the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranch.

The event was held at the Largo Community Center on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26, 2011. Attendees enjoyed the art gallery, demonstrations, workshops and vendors.

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT
