What's With The Big Blue Bull On Missouri Avenue?

Chances are if you've driven down Missouri Avenue today you noticed the giant blue bull in the old K-Mart parking lot near the corner of Rosery Road.

So what's the deal with the towering toro?

It's part of a marketing effort to draw attention to a car sale that's happening this weekend at the site.

"This is a weekend long event sponsored by Pinellas County Credit Union and Dimmitt Automobiles," Dimmitt sales manager Bobby Emmino said.

"We have a great relationship with the credit union and a long history of selling cars in Pinellas County," he added. "People can come in and check out or inventory and drive away in a new car."

Emmino said the car company often hosts such special events in high traffic locations as a way to bring the US 19 dealership's services to different areas.

He said car buyers should come down and check out the special financing and pricing they are offering before the weekend is over.

"Come down and take advantage of these great deals, because Sunday afternoon this will all be gone."

And so will the big blue bull!
