Thor Would Dig Living With You

Meet Thor and friends at Animal Services.

Meet Thor (#288572). Named after the Norse god of thunder, this two year old, 46 pound  pigeon-toed Basset hound mix is actually quite a sweet little fellow. Turned in by an owner who could no longer take care of him, Thor is very good with kids and other dogs, and is house trained. While his namesake lives up in the air, this Thor tends to want to dig in the dirt.

If you bring this article with you to , Thor can be yours for the low fee of $25.  And, remember, every single one of the pets offered for adoption at Animal Services are spayed or neutered and have all of their required shots. And, this week, we are bursting at the seams with many adorable and adoptable pets to choose from!

With the summer heat comes the danger of dehydration for your pets. Dogs don’t sweat like humans – they sweat through the paws of their feet and lose only a limited amount of fluids that way.  They do pant heavily in order to cool off, and can lose a tremendous amount of fluids on a hot day this way. Be sure to leave plenty of cool, fresh water for your pet, especially in the heat.
