Ten Year-Old All-Star Athlete Jake Peterson Leads Team

Oakhurst Elementary School student Jake Peterson has played baseball since he was two years old. He had his best finish this year in the Seminole Warhawks minor league baseball team.

Congratulations to this week's Whiz Kid of the Week Jake Peterson!

Age: 10

School: Oakhurst Elementary School

Accomplishment: Jake Peterson is a 10 year-old with a passion for baseball. He plays for the Seminole Warhawks at the Seminole Jr. Warhawks Field, which is just west of . He was asked to be on the all-star team to his minor league team every season. He trains at the Winning Inning Baseball Academy. His favorite baseball player on the Tampa Bay Rays is Sam Fuld. Jake gets pointers from his friend Von Hayes from the Philadelphia Phillies team, who stops by to see him often, said Jake's dad Jeff Peterson.

Jake is excellent at shortstop and hits with a high average.

Key to Awesomeness: Jake's drive started early. He's been playing baseball since he was two years-old. His accomplishments make it seem easy, but jake puts a lot of effort into being a leader. Jake received a trophy from his coach Ralph Neuberger when he hit 14 hits of 18 bats in a city championship tournament, which help lead his team to a second place finish. Jake plays shortstop and pitcher. This year Jake earned best finish by a 10 year-old in Seminole Warhawks history. Jake has been asked to play for the Seminole Allstars 10 year old division, which begins in about a month.

As usual government lied to us. They said if we switch over to reclaimed we will have water forRead More lawns whenever we wanted!!!!! NOT!!! Plus they didin't tell us that we would probably have to replace all valves in sprinkler system shortly after because this water isn't as clean and destroys them. You then have to put in different ones to accommodate the grit etc in the water. Same with the heads those little screens get clogged a lot more and need service more. So much for SAViNG $$$$$$ NOT

Sure would be nice if there was a fund-raiser started so that those of us who can't afford $500.00Read More or $1,000.00 could contribute smaller amounts to help buy a chair or two for this great cause !!!!
