“Segundo is a telegenic, PR-savvy champion of the three R’s (Recycle, Reduce, Reuse) who has done particularly well in getting buy-in for Largo’s recycling program from the community,” according to Creative Loafing.

The Largo Central Railroad won “Best ‘High-Speed’ Rail.”

The trains, replicas of CSX, Amtrak and others, run along the 1.2 mile track the first weekend each month.

“Despite the repeated derailment of both light and high-speed rail in the Tampa Bay area, the city of Largo is leading the way with the best damn railroad in West Central Florida,” according to Creative Loafing.
