Lots of people like to walk on Indian Rocks Beach, but this Friday, they'll be doing it for a purpose.
Indian Rocks Beach will hosting the MADD Dash 5K this Friday at 6 p.m.
The MADD Dash is a run organized by the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Proceeds from the event will go to support the group and their programs.
People will be allowed to watch along the route, which starts at the 17th Avenue Beach Park, and join in with festivities that include a mini-taste and a safety fair.
For those looking for something more leisurely, there's also the Walk like MADD that is going on at the same time.
It costs $20 to register for either of the events. On site registration begins at 5 p.m. on Friday.
