Meet Brock (#289112). This 2-year-old mastiff mix is a big boy, tipping the scales at a whopping 100 pounds. He’s also a gentle giant who would love to be a lap dog … of course, you would need a pretty big lap to handle Big Brock! He knows how to sit, shake and is ready to come home to a new family all his own!
If you bring this article with you to Animal Services, Brock can be yours for the low fee of $25. And, remember, every single one of the pets offered for adoption at Animal Services are spayed or neutered and have all of their required shots. And, this week, we are bursting at the seams with many adorable and adoptable pets to choose from!
With the late summer heat comes the danger of dehydration for your pets. Dogs don’t sweat like humans – they sweat through the paws of their feet and lose only a limited amount of fluids that way. They do pant heavily in order to cool off, and can lose a tremendous amount of fluids on a hot day this way. Be sure to leave plenty of cool, fresh water for your pet, especially in the heat.
