Repair preparations for Park Boulevard sewer main break under way

The Pinellas County Department of Environment and Infrastructure is preparing a bypass plan for repairs of the sewer main break on Park Boulevard, east of Seminole Boulevard, that occurred late last night (July 2). Crews continue to focus on securing the open hole by installing a plate over the exposed area to protect the public.

Traffic is being affected by the activity in the area. The south (east bound) lane is currently closed. Once the bypass plan is implemented, additional lane closures are anticipated. Repair efforts include the adjacent curbing, pavement and sidewalk impacted by the pipe failure. Repair completion is expected to take up to three weeks.
