Education workshops free to homebuyers

For those thinking about buying a home but unsure of where to start, a series of free homebuyer education workshops is a good place to begin. The workshops are being offered on July 13, Aug. 10 and Sept. 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County, 600 Cleveland St., Suite 800, Clearwater.

Attendees will learn the basics of the home buying process, including helpful resource information on down payment assistance and homes for sale. The workshop is especially helpful for those who are working with a lender and need a homebuyer education class certificate or have owned a home before and are considering a new purchase.
