Adopt a pit bull for $5 during Animal Services’ Pittie-Party

To help find forever homes for all American Pit Bull Terriers at Pinellas County Animal Services, the shelter is having a pit bull Pittie-Party on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pit bull and pit mix adoptions will be $5 each during this special promotion and will come with a goody bag of special dog treats and accessories.  The special adoption fee includes medical check-up, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, internal and external parasite control, heartworm testing, microchipping and county license.

Pit bulls are notoriously slow to be adopted at Animal Services and many have been at the shelter for several weeks.  But all dogs are in fine health with friendly temperaments and any one of them would make an ideal pet for the right family.
