"Puppy Preschool" Training Class

This social development and training course is designed for puppies younger than 4 1/2 months old. Topics include off-leash control, chew-toy training, socialization with other puppies, play-biting, and house-training.

To participate, puppies must be younger than 18 weeks old as of Feb. 28 with a minimum of one set of vaccines, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo virus) at least 10 days prior to this first class. Owner must have a current City of Largo Recreation Pass.

Located across the Largo Police Department, the recreation center is a safe place for kids and families to have fun and take classes. It offers programs in dance, cheerleading, scrapbooks, computers, sports, yoga and wellness.

There are indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a fitness center, hard court tennis courts, skate park and program rooms. The center has the tallest municipal water slide in the county and is home to Highland Family Aquatics Center.
