DESCRIPTION:This new park features an expanded lake\, 140 newly  planted 
 trees\, and a one-third mile asphalt loop walking trail open to the  pub
 lic. Additional amenities include park benches\, picnic  tables and tras
 h and recycling bins.\nHighland Lake Park is open daily from  dawn till 
 dusk. The grand opening ceremony includes a  special fish release into t
 he lake\, made possible by a donation from  the Florida Wildlife and Con
 servation Commission.\nNOTE: Because of construction of the new Highland
  Recreation Complex\, access to the park is temporarily located off of W
 ood Street\, or from Lake Avenue  along the east side of the senior base
 ball field at the Highland  Recreation Complex.
