The Armed Forces Military Museum is set up to educate visitors on certain aspects of military history that pertain to wars and major battles. To help facilitate a real-life feel to each exhibit by the onlookers, each one was constructed using a combination of real equipment and tools as well as authentic-looking props. The museum grounds and different exhibits also give visitors a chance to view some of the military's equipment up close: tanks, jets, armored cars and more. The facility also has a museum store that operates under the same hours as the museum does. Pricing is different for seniors, adults and kids. Discounts are given to retired or active-duty military soldiers (admission is free with their IDs).

As a poignant tie-in to the "Dog Days of Summer" events... why not have Pinellas County have real dogs up for adoption on site too? Animal Services has to destroy (at taxpayer expense) those dogs who won't get any exposure to get a new home. Collars could be in yellow as :Tie a Yellow Ribbon..." the post-war welcome anthem.
