As Pinellas County’s only snow ski club, we will be holding our 29th annual kickoff meeting Friday, August 24st at the East Bay Country Club, 702 Country Club Dr, Largo FL.
Starting at 6:30PM, this event will showcase our club’s 5 winter ski trips for the upcoming season; and kickoff our fundraising efforts for the Bay Pines Disabled American Veterans.
With trips planned to Big Sky MT, Lake Tahoe NV; Vail CO, Breckenridge CO, and Steamboat Springs CO, there will be trips for all levels of skiers at various price ranges.
This season marks the 29th anniversary of our “Not for Profit” Clearwater/St. Pete Ski and Sports Club, commonly known as the Snowsharks.
It is also the first of several planned fundraising events for the Bay Pines disabled veterans. Funds raised will help these veterans attend the Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass, CO in March, 2013. This unique rehab clinic is held every year; but due to the cost of travel only a handful of the veterans have been able to attend. Our club will be hosting a silent auction at this event to start off our fundraising efforts. All donations will be accepted for this worthy auction to help support the vets.
Details about the club’s trips, our social events, and the Winter Sports Clinic can be found on our web site, www.snowshark.org.

More About East Bay Golf Club
The East Bay Golf Club is located near the end of Country Club Drive. Interested golfers must drive past the neighborhoods until they see signs for the golf course and it will be on the left hand side as they head toward the facility. The golf club is semi-private; guests have the option of paying for each use of the golf course or driving range or they can sign up for a membership. There is only one golf course and one driving range at the facility. Both guests and members must comply with the club rules, which include a dress code, no coolers, no spectators and no sharing of clubs. Rentals are provided inside the pro shop.
