This week marks the end of children's storytime and entertainment programs for the Summer 2012 season at the Largo Public Library. Be sure to come and check out one of our many storytime opportunities this week and pick up our Fall Programming Calendar as well. If you'd like to enjoy a movie with your family this week, I suggest you come to the library on Friday, August 3^rd at 2pm to see a special bedtime-themed movie.

Speaking of bedtime, as many of you may know, all of our storytime programs this summer featured the theme, Dream Big, Read. We read stories about stars and planets, nighttime creatures, camping, and, of course, bedtime. Of all the books I presented this summer, my favorite bedtime-themed book was Creak! Said the Bed by Phyllis Root. It tells the story of a family at bedtime during a dark and stormy night. As each of the children climb into their parents' bed to seek comfort during the storm, the bed lets out a creak. It has a surprise ending that you'll have to read to find out about. If you are looking for other bedtime-themed stories, come to the Largo Public Library to check some out. We hope to see you soon!
