Untouchables Attracts RNC Journalists from Chicago
With their Chicago-style pizza the Clearwater-Largo Road restaurant was the studio for a Chicago TV station recently.
For about 22 years Chicago natives Joanne and David Barnes have served Chicago-style pizza and other homemade Italian food to Largo area customers.
Recently the local restaurant was transformed into a news studio for ABC Channel 7 news in Chicago for a news segment on Chicago natives now living in Florida. The news station was in the Tampa Bay area for the Republican National Convention.
"It was kind of interesting. It was all very different. They had cameras everywhere in the restaurant," Joanne Barnes. "It was kind of neat to share our political views with them and they loved our food."
As faithful Chicago sports fans, Joanne and David, go to Liberty Lanes to watch the Chicago Bears. The Chicago TV station found the Untouchables over the Internet through the bowling alley, Joanne Barnes said.
