Transient Charged With Attempted Murder in Butcher Knife Stabbing
Edward Daniel Curran, 24, got into an argument with an unidentified victim at a Largo home and stabbed the person repeatedly with a butcher knife, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

According to the Times' story:
Curran struck the victim on the head several times with a glass ashtray at a Largo house, left, and then returned with a large butcher knife, police said. He then stabbed the victim in the back, shoulder, arm and head, according to police.
Curran fled the scene but was later arrested, the Times reports.
He was booked into Pinellas County Jail and charged with attempted first-degree murder and resisting an officer without violence. Curran is awaiting trial.
