Three Boys Charged with Burglarizing City Facility
According to Largo Police, the three juveniles damaged fencing and stole vehicles in a series of incidents beginning St. Patrick's Day.
Three boys have been charged in a string of thefts in Largo.
From March 17-24, the city's Parks and Recreation Maintenance Facility at 325 Central Park Drive was targeted three times.
Two of the boys reside in Pinellas County and have been arrested on criminal mischief and burglary charges. The other boy lives in Pasco County and has been charged but not taken into custody. The boys are all juveniles.
According to Largo Police:
Early March 17, the boys caused $1,500 in damage to the fence around the facility and stole three all-terrain vehicles worth $22,000.
The next morning, $1,000 in damage was done to the fence, and an additional vehicle worth $5,000 was stolen.
Early March 24, $600 in damage was done to the fence, and a vehicle worth $8,000 was taken.
Largo Police recovered all of the stolen vehicles.
In addition to facing criminal charges, the boys will be fined for the damage to the fence and the stolen vehicles.
