It doesn’t look as if there are 46 television screens, including 16 big-screen ones, at Sneaky’s Sports Bar and Grill.

That's because the bar hides a surprisingly large interior behind its storefront. Even without the extension with pool tables and more seating, it’s at least twice the size of your average Largo bar.

Size isn’t the only thing Sneaky’s brings to the table, too. The bar’s new manager is rolling out specials and placing a focus on mixed shots.

To start, through July a bucket of five Coronas costs $13, down from the usual $4 each.

Claudette Little took over as manager last week, after a month and a half as a bartender and over 17 years as a real estate paralegal.

She has brought the price of bomb drinks down to $4 and is creating a binder to accommodate customers’ tastes.

“Everybody has a rolodex behind the bar. What we’re going to have is a suggestion book, broken into sections like fruity or strong,” Little said.

One drink for the binder, the “Alabama Slammer,” is made with amaretto, Southern Comfort, sloe gin (red liqueur that flavored with sloe berries) and orange juice.

The drink is sweet enough to be sipped, but strong enough to be taken like a shot. It's a perfect example of how the medicine taste of Southern Comfort can turn into something worth drinking.

Sneaky’s has Bud, Miller Lite and Coors Light on draft for $1.50, while Michelob Ultra, Amberbock and Shock Top are on draft for $1.75.

A $2.50 wells happy hour runs from 3-7 p.m. and Sunday evenings feature “U-call-it,” where (listen up, Goose fans) any mixed drink costs $3 after 8:30 p.m.

The food menu at Sneaky's is fairly standard, with appetizers, wings, burgers and sandwiches costing $4-7. The “Famous Fish Taco” stands out with blackened seared mahi, something not usually served at a sports bar.

For those who have grown tired of karaoke and want to try something else, Sneaky’s offers an alternative.

While they don’t have karaoke, the bar makes up for it with live trivia Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. On multiple occasions, the host has proved to be entertaining and the questions are well suited for modern players—easier history questions and tougher pop culture ones.

There is free poker on Mondays and Thursdays along with free pool on Wednesdays starting at 10 p.m. and all day Sunday.

Sneaky’s occasionally offers live music and the Jonny Bravo Band is playing July 15 and July 29. By early August, Little hopes to start hosting open-mic nights on Wednesdays.

It is an exciting time for a bar that's been around since 1990. With sweeping changes underway, now's the time to stop in for a drink and tell the manager what it would take to make you a regular at Sneaky's.
