SUV Crashes Through Pinellas Park Living Room

After hitting a utility pole, a Clearwater man's SUV went into the front of a home, authorities said.

According to police, early this morning two Pinellas Park residents and their dogs woke up to a vehicle driving into their living room.

A Pinellas Park Police investigation found Herbert Bireley, 57, was headed northbound on 100th Avenue when his Ford Explorer left the roadway and hit a utility pole. The SUV kept going and hit a house. The family was asleep in a bedroom and they were not injured, according to police.

Bireley was transported to a local hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Bireley was issued with citations for careless driving and driving with a suspended license without knowledge, according to police.

David, thanks for reading. It happened on the 4400 block of 100th Ave. N, which is right near the intersection with Mainlands Blvd. W.
