Would you like to help name the new great horned owl at the George McGough Nature Park?

Submit name suggestions online through June 22. The list of names will be narrowed down to the top five. Those names will be posted on Largo's Recreation, Parks and Arts Facebook page, so the community can select the final name.

The new owl made its home in Largo a few months ago after an injury prevented it from living on its own in nature. The great horned owl joins the center's barred owl Matilda.

Hi Joann. That definitely fits! There still time to enter name suggestions online or by visiting the park. If you would like to go to the park, when you enter a name they will give you a cup of turtle food to share with the park's aquatic turtles.
