When will this end. There are too many guns on the streets. Our committee's are no longer safe for our citizens. The government should step in and close gun shops, pawn shops and limit gun permits to hunting only as a 1 or 2 day pass. In my opinion possession of a weapon to hurt others and shooting someone should receive life in prison without parole. If our sentences were stiffer these actions would decrease... Think about our children!!!

Jim, it's not guns that kill, it is people that kill. We have the right to bear arms in the U.S. I live alone and I have a gun and that is my right. If the government steps in and takes all the registered guns that still leaves the unregistered guns in the hands of the crooks.....and us with none to defend ourselves. Think about it Jim.
When I was young, there were a gang of older kids that went to my boyfriends house to do harm to him. They got ahold of his parents instead of him. He did hunting with his father so he knew how to shoot a rifle. Since they had his parents in the street.....he went and got a rifle to rescue his parents from the gang of older kids. Ther again, think about it Jim.
If you don't want a gun for whatever reason, don't get one but let us others alone who do want them.

It not the guns that kill people ,I agree with Diane .The problem really is I fell that lack of regard for human life. . We feel here in America that people are safe and more often than not they are. But for those who respect others and guns for what they are there"s no problem. For those that kill they don"t care about life of others and their own .So if they harm or kill some one they don't care. If they get caught so what . life as they know it was bad and to die might be better any way.. Pery
