Sheriff Seeks Public's Help in Identifying Catalytic Converter Theft Suspect
Detectives are requesting the public's help identifying the suspect(s).
Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man caught on
video surveillance stealing catalytic converters from a local auto dealership.
Between Sept. 26 and Oct. 5, Car Pros Auto Sales and M & D Motors, Inc. have been the victim of someone allegedly stealing catalytic converters from vehicles in the dealer's lots, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Burglary and Pawn Unit.
According to the sheriff's office, the suspect(s) has been breaking into the businesses in the evening or early morning hours. The suspect(s) is described as a black male (late teens, early 20s), wearing a black shirt and having a tattoo on right side of his neck, according to a news release.
