The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office needs the public's help locating a truck, which reportedly hit a Dunedin woman in Seminole Wednesday.

Authorities released Thursday morning an image of the truck from a PSTA bus camera that was in the area at the time of the crash.

The vehicle is described as a white, small late model pick-up truck. The truck may have a chrome rear bumper and may be an American-made vehicle. Deputies say the vehicle may possibly be a white Ford Ranger with an extended cab. The truck is believed to have front right side damage, according to a news release.

Barbara Gaymore, 76, of Dunedin was walking with a blue suitcase on Wednesday on Starkey Road just north of Park Boulevard in Seminole.

Deputies say the blue suitcase being pulled by the victim may be have become lodged in the grill or undercarriage of the suspect's vehicle. Parts of the suitcase were found at the scene, according to a news release.

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies say Gaymore was crossing Starkey Boulevard in front of the Perkins Restaurant. As she crossed the road, she was struck by a northbound vehicle. Gaymore was thrown to the ground and the vehicle left the scene, according to a news release.

Gaymore was transported to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of serious but non life-threatening injuries, according to a news release.

Prayers going out for Barbara and I hope they find this hit and run driver. They probably didn't have a license or insurance. It really upsets me when people drive and dont stop to help an innocent victim.
